A "former" member of TAI who has chosen to separate from that organization has received the following letter from them. It is both important and timely that you should be aware of it. Typically, this kind of letter goes out to a LOT of people - RECOGNIZE IT FOR WHAT IT IS - "AN ATTEMPT TO ENGAGE YOU IN ANOTHER HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH". The tip-off is "Representatives will only be available for a short time." [ie: do it NOW!] Now, good ole 'HOOT' (mentioned below in their letter) is probably a good, upstanding, law abiding, honest person who just wants to help you take immediate advantage of a one-time-good-deal. He's probably not just another high-pressure shyster trying to get you recommitted to a lifetime of upgrades, contract payments, and dues. Now, the letter: "Dear Member, if you fall into any of these categories, call Hoot at (601) 799-1880 or 5817 between 3-7 pm Central Standard Time on Monday through Friday. If you are unable to use your membership and need information on
Please call immediately! Representatives will only be available for a short time. Call between 3-7 pm Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday." ----- end of letter ----- The 'former' member writes: I am a little reluctant to call because the last time I talked to one of the Travel America people he was so pushy and so aggressive and so rude I just about lost my Christianity!! I am considering just sending a copy of the letter back to them with a note stating that I already consider myself released from the membership and would they please stop sending me letters. You got any better ideas? [[YES - we do. ANY response is an invitation to continue the sales pitch. If you have already sent them what we refer to as the "Get Stuffed" letter [our draft letter telling them that you are OUT], you need not continue to play their game.]] I'm sick and tired of these people and feel quite sure that this is just a ploy to get our attention. Do you think they are serious about releasing us? Remember, ...(our contract) was with TAI. We have signed nothing with Travel America. Let me know your thoughts on this, Thanks, [[name removed to preserve privacy]] |
