DO I HAVE TO PAY DUES TO TRAVEL AMERICA?

The short answer is "NO".

Get them off your back Send them this Leave me alone letter.

FACT: Ray Novelli stated under oath in a deposition in Iowa that:

"Travel America offered the former TAI members a free membership into Travel America. It's not a requirement they pay us... it's selective on the part of the members. and Travel America in contact with the members offered the members reciprocal rights into our campgrounds provided they would pay a maintenance fee to maintain these campgrounds. But that's the only provision. We didn't assume any of their contracts.

FACT: Steve Alleman, VP of Thousand Adventures, Inc., stated under oath in a bankruptcy hearing in Des Moines, IA:

"No member of Thousand Adventures has to pay dues to Travel America if they don't want to. All they have to do is send us a letter telling to that effect."

So there you have it!

Should I pay my dues? According to Mr. Alleman - NO.

I do believe that I would cover myself if I sent such a letter. I would attach a copy of my Proof-of-Claim for the Iowa bankruptcy and/or a copy of the sign-up sheet that I sent to Mr. Napier to join the class-action lawsuit. I think I would also tell them if I think they should refund money to me for services that they have not provided and that I was promised. That is what I would do. You have to chose your own course of action.
