Good News about the
New TAI Lawsuit Settlement
We have been informed by Mr. Napier, attorney for former members of TAI, that he has recovered additional money for distribution to those members.
How much money each former member gets will depend on the number of people who file a valid claim for their share of that money.
So what is a valid claim?
A form like the one included with this newsletter must be completely filled out. Be sure to include your valid TAI membership number! Do this even if you got part of the first TAI lawsuit settlement.
Then mail the claim to Mr. Napier at the address on the form.
So what if you lost your membership number?
If you were part of the previous distribution and received a letter from Mr. Napier about this new settlement, then he can use the mailing roster to confirm that you are a TAI member."
Otherwise, the court will require him to verify you are a member in order to avoid having unqualified people find the form online and submit a request.
If you can produce a receipt, cancelled check to TAI, a dues statement, or something with your name on it, that will suffice.

Our thoughts at NAM...
Don't leave anything to chance. Fill out the form and include your TAI membership number.
We are proud of Mr. Napier's skill and his tenacity. We pray that God will look after him.
Big Turtle (Ohio) Lawsuit
Warren County Treasurer Seeks Clear Title to Campground
Several folks tell us that they have a new summons from the taxing authority of Warren County in Ohio.
We remain convinced that he is not trying to capture your retirement money but rather to clear the title so he can dispose of his interest in the Big Turtle property and seize back taxes out of the proceeds.
He also wants to establish that Warren County's lien on the property should be placed before the federal taxing authority.
Lifetime Dues?
AGAIN...
Come on folks! Seems like a no-brainer.
They want your money. Anything from $200 to several thousand.
The best real estate attorney you can get, on the other hand, charges from $0 to $50 for the first half-hour consultation.
-
Tell the camping club
(if your attorney says it's ok):
-
I am not a member of your camping club.
-
I do not use your facilities and do not plan to.
-
I do not owe you any money.
-
If you believe you have evidence to the contrary send readable copies of that evidence so that I can have my attorney evaluate it.
-
Do not contact me again.
SOUNDS FAMILIAR doesn't it.
I know that I'm preaching to the choir.
What I need is - for the choir to start preaching this message to others.
WARNING
Any campground that tries to sell you a 'Lifetime Membership' is just trying to get into your wallet!
DON'T DO IT!
-
Every legitimate campground we know of will happily sell/lease camping privileges for a day, week, month, or a season. They will have a contract for you to sign. Read it to see if there are any 'gotcha' paragraphs. (Should tell you what happens if you don't pay as agreed or if you get behind in your rent.)
-
Any campground you 'join' should specify the method to end the relationship - in writing and in the contract.
-
Some campgrounds will rent/lease the exclusive use of a designated campsite for other specified periods of time. That's OK if you get it in writing.
-
Just remember - "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"
-
If they demand that you make up your mind immediately - RUN - DON'T WALK to the nearest exit and check your pocket to see if your wallet's still there.
Where can you meet nicer, more honest people than at a campground. Just remember, the people who run it... too often (but not always) might be crooks.
Just Thinkin'
I have been to a lot of places, but I've never been in Cahoots.
Apparently you can't go alone.
You have to be in Cahoots with someone.
I've also never been in Cognito, either.
I hear no one recognizes you there.
I have, however, been in Sane.
They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there.
I have made several trips, thanks to my friends and family.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump and I'm not much on physical activity.
